I love watching music and the spoken word because I feel like I want to be more Christ like as a result of watching this wonderful program! I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's New Testament Church restored to the earth, and that this program is one of the many blessings as a result of Joseph Smith's first vision of God the Father and Christ his Son.

I am proud to see the community coming together like This. I wish more businesses were able to do this but they don’t as they are “for profit” and throwing it away is in my opinion less of a liability as people will “sue” if “they”, get hurt by an item donated to them that “they” have installed or used wrong 😑, so it is business expense to throw them away and take the loss so that, “nothing” remains attached. Yet, when there are those willing to share it is wonderful to see.

I’m fully supportive. I wonder if a woman was considered. Of course, we’ll never know. But I just wonder sometimes.

The problem is we still have Section 132, which sets forth “the principle and doctrine of their having many wives and concubines”. Until we denounce and remove this false “doctrine” we will have to answer to the accusations. Joseph gave us Section 101, the Law of Marriage (monogamy), it was replaced with 132 in 1880 with an abomination to the Lord (Jacob 2-3).

I’m curious about this church. I noticed every man is in a suit & tie while women in lose fitting dresses. No tennis shoes, sandals, no jeans/shorts, no pants for women and no t-shirts. *So there’s a dress code huh?* Also, *is the service really 2 hours long?* …Do you sit down the whole time or move around the building talking with everyone? *Is there pressure to go up to the podium and address everyone of your just visiting?* I was invited to attend by two members but don’t need that pressure to be in the mic talking to the congregation, I’ve noticed some churches do that and I don’t think it’s the right approach when they single out visitors. Any Mormons in the comments to answer?

The messages are uplifting-the delivery unfailingly cheerful, upbeat, empathetic. The total effect is greater than the sum of the parts: profound and enduring.

I'm going to the open house and I'm taking my dad and my cousin Arbury with me. This is my dad's and Arbury's mission and when I get there I'm touring Kirkland and experience I never got to do because the RLDS closed the gates when I got there but I did go in the store and thats what counts.

I hope beautiful Zion is in the New Hymn Book i heard the Angels or Heavenly Choir singing it when i was in the New Zealand Temple and others heard it too

Through years, I've listened to the Tabernacle Choir and find it a true blessing. As Mr. Newell and Mr. Porter both start new chapters of lives, the message remains the same. BTW - I am not a member of the LDS church.

Lloyd Newell and the spoken word have been a great bonding experience for my 95 dad and me for the past several years. he loves seeing that the spoken word is in it's 95th year and loves, as i did, to listen to the inspiring messages given by now President Newell. many blessings to you, President.

Temples are ensigns to the nations that declare that the restored gospel knows no boundaries, races, and distinct citizenship but all are fellow citizens with God.

I remember it was after watching this documentary I became a member of the church.

Thank you. I agree. While the church does what it can to help those in need physically, its mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of the ongoing restoration. This very much includes the visitation of the Savior and ancient prophets to restore key elements of the gospel to bring salvation to all of God's children.
